Start Early: Essential Career Planning Before Grade 12

Category: Student & Parent Guidance | Globestar Career Counselling In a world that’s changing faster than ever, students and parents are starting to realise that career planning can’t wait until Grade 12. At Globestar Career Counselling (GCC), we believe it should begin as early as Grade 8. To spark this shift, we recently hosted a special session in Pune, bringing together students, parents, and experts to explore early pathways to global success.

Why Start Early is important for Career Planning?

“Instead of asking ‘Which college is best for me?’, students should ask ‘What problems do I want to solve in the world?’”
Dhaval Mehta, Founder, Globestar Edutech

At the core of our session was this message: students should start with their “why”. From subject choices in Grade 9 to profile-building and test prep, each step matters — and starting early gives students time to make thoughtful, strategic decisions.

Key Highlights from the Workshop

🚀 Why Early Career Planning is a Game Changer

In today’s fast-moving world, waiting until Grade 12 to start career planning is no longer an option. At Globestar Career Counselling (GCC), we emphasize starting as early as Grade 8 — when students can explore interests, build strong profiles, and understand global opportunities like the SAT Suite. Our recent Pune session proved just how impactful early guidance can be, featuring insights from global experts and real student experiences.
